The bracket is a two-part adapter. A unique dovetail mounting piece and a removable bracket.
This allows the bracket to be removed when not in use and the RAPAS to be transferred between Astor-Physics mounts while retaining polar alignment. It also utilizes a push-pull adjustment feature to refine polar alignment to a higher degree.
